To the
space that you’ve left in this house
I will
redecorate it,
Paint it with
bright new colours
And place pretty
ribbons over it
I will
disguise its blue face with posters, frames, pictures.
I will
light up its corners with salt lamps
And incense
sticks
I will make
it all nice and cosy
So the
space you left feels at home
To the
space that you’ve left on my bed
I will
entertain it with endless movie marathons,
With popcorns
and snoozes.
I will read
plenty of bednight stories to it,
And delight
it with Whitney impressions
And diy
projects.
To the
space that you’ve left on the bed
I will make
it my partner
I will kiss
it goodnight
Everynight
I will
prepare breakfast for it
Every
morning
To the space
that you’ve left on my fingertips
I will feast it with new homemade food,
With chips,
gums, coffee and chocolates.
With Rolled
vanilla cigarettes and
spirits.
To the echo
that you’ve left in my heart
I will play
it on loop
Sing along
with it
And use it
as a lullaby
My house,
my bed, fingertips and heart
They all
say hello.
They all
cry goodbye.
